We decided to take a day trip today on our day off for a three hour drive to see some prehistoric caves in a town called Eganville, Ontario. It was a cloudy day, but had a good drive up there, when we arrived we had to wait 15 minutes for the next tour. The tour begins with some facts and samples of the things we will see underground, and although you are walking on wood planks, they are wet and you could still slip on them. The tour was very informative telling us all about the person who found the caves and navigated through them to create what is there today. They pump water our continuously, other wise the caves would eventually fill again, until winter when they let them fill again to keep animals from hibernating in the caves. Very cool and interesting we are glad we went.
